Description:

10/4/2023: The application for residents who want to live at the redeveloped Orange Avenue closed on September 30, 2023 and THA is beginning to notify applicants. The regular waiting list closed until further notice

*Public housing: low rent housing for persons who meet income requirements, either in housing complexes or scattered site homes
*Section 8 Program: (aka Housing Choice Voucher program) subsidizes rent for persons who meet income requirements in private sector, generally in a home, duplex, or apartment; rents for units must be reasonable and pass Housing Quality Standards inspection
*Any individual or family may apply for either of these programs; however, pregnant women, families with children, elderly persons or disabled individuals may have some priority
*In most cases there is usually a waiting list for both these programs
