*ALL CALLS FROM ALL EIGHT BIG BEND COUNTIES FOR PAST DUE RENT OR UTILITY ASSISTANCE ARE TAKEN ON MONDAYS, 9AM-10AM, TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS, 10AM-11:30 AM (Note: the outgoing phone message states Monday hours as being 9AM-11:30 AM, however, on Mondays 9AM-10AM is the correct time).

*BE AWARE THAT ALL FUNDS FOR RENT/UTILITY ASSISTANCE COME FROM SEVERAL DIFFERENT SOURCES, AND EACH SOURCE HAS DIFFERENT REQUIREMENTS (INCOME IS JUST ONE OF MANY FACTORS). ADDITIONALLY, FUNDING SOURCES CAN CHANGE FREQENTLY.

* Program may be able to assist qualifying persons with past due rent and/or utilities (and in some cases rental and/or utilities deposits)
*Walk-ins are not accepted; a phone screening is required
*Funding is available for adults with or without children in the home, depending on the funding source

*For families with at least one child in the home who is age 17 or under:
*The adult applying for assistance must be the parent or guardian of the minor child or children who live in the home
*Need for assistance must be the result of a specific financial or other crisis, often related to COVID-19
*At least one household member must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident

*Food pantry and baby diaper assistance hours are 2:30pm-3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Walk-ins are accepted. Clients must bring a photo ID and are eligible once every two months
*Assistance with additional baby items is expected to start in the near future; resource staff will update at that time
