Family Promise, Homeless Prevention Program

*Provides past due rent, mortgage and utility assistance to families in Leon County threatened with eviction or foreclosure to prevent homelessness; Any assistance provided is dependent upon the caller's ability to pay future rent/utilities etc; anyone without a stable source of income is unlikely to qualify for assistance *Family Promise creates a new waitlist for this assistance on a monthly basis; being on the waitlist does not guarantee approval for assistance; Applicants who are next to be assisted will receive a phone call; if they do not receive a phone call by the end of the month, they should call again to be placed on the new waitlist *Call (850) 792-9437; if no one answers, callers should leave a message *Families must have at least one dependent child under the age of 18; and be facing eviction or foreclosure due to past due rent, mortgage and utilities *Must have proof of imminent eviction from landlord or mortgage lender along with documents to support amounts past due for mortgage, rent and/or utilities
